Gestalt Therapy
Gestalt psychotherapy can be seen as a
philosophy of life as well as offering a set of tools to support personal
change.
In the West, we tend to separate the body, mind and spirit, but
in Oriental philosophy these are considered to be part of a whole. Gestalt
therapy combines both the Western and Oriental philosophies into one integrated
approach.
Gestalt therapy offers
- A safe and confidential setting in which to talk through confusions and
difficulties. It is both supportive and challenging
- Psychotherapy offers an opportunity for people to get to know and
understand themselves better, to balance conflicting thoughts and feeling and
to find their purpose in life.
- The chance to be creative as you experiment with unfamiliar ways of being
that may make more sense of your life.
- The possibility to focus in relationships. Contact between you and the
therapist often acts as a mirror, reflecting the hopes and fears of current and
past relationships.
- The opportunity to resolve old disputes and hurts and to bring excitement
and vitality into areas of your life that may have become empty of meaning
